CMS

Here at Pixel Clear Designs we aim to design and develop all of our web sites in a manner that allows the owner to have complete control over the updating of the content that appears within the site. With a Content Management System, you take the drivers seat.

Content Management System’s can add to the cost of web projects, however since we can almost always use open source solutions such as Wordpress, we try to keep development cost’s down.

A Content Management System (CMS), usually implemented as a web application, for creating and managing online web sites. It is used to manage and control a large, dynamic collection of Web material (HTML documents and their associated images). A CMS facilitates content creation, content control, editing, and many essential Web maintenance functions.

Usually the software provides authoring (and other) tools designed to allow users with little or no knowledge of programming languages or markup languages to create and manage content with relative ease of use.

Administration is typically done through browser-based interfaces such as Internet Explorer and preferably Mozilla’s Firefox.

A CMS allows non-technical users to make changes to an existing website with little or no training. Content management system’s typically require an experienced coder to set up and add features, but is primarily a Web-site maintenance tool for non-technical administrators.
